Season of Prayer 14
You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask incorrectly, so much so that you may be consumed by various forms of lust. James 4:3
How may I know when my prayers are self-centred?

Season of Prayer 11
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness sprinting up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled Hebrews 12:14-15
How may I reveal Christ to those whose lives I am privileged to connect with today?

Season Of Prayer Day 10
10/03/17 14:33
Season of Prayer 10
God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the chosen ones, and to be in reverence in God’s presence.
How can I know true reverence? Why is reverence important to spiritual growth?
When I recognize I am in deep reverence for God it is when I sense His infinite greatness and the reality of His presence on the earth. The feeling of the Unseen God near by I am impressed.
The manifestation of reverence to God is to desire to obey His way according to three forms of revelation; Creation, the Bible, and Jesus Christ revealing himself in my life.
From the depths of my heart I want to obey God’s way. Jesus challenges my emotions and changes my heart. I know He identifies with my thoughts, and my longings. It is Christ who blends the human with the divine to conform to our original intent for life. When I am especially tuned in to God I want to do His biddings. As i learn to appreciate the character of Christ by spending time with Him, sin itself becomes detestable to me.
Learning the principles of humility and reverence helps me to understand the presence of God. In Jesus’ name I can come to God with the confidence yet not the boldness of presumption that I am on equal level with God. God is above all. I am His creation. God is unapproachable except as I develop the character of Christ. God is still God and my approach needs to be similar to the angels of heaven. They approach with veiled faces in humility. Yet God is considered my friend. Wow, what a concept.
The time I spend in prayer is when God is present. When I am in serious prayer or praise, God is there. The feeling of reverence, and awe being in the presence of the holy God is gripping. I want to honour His name and speak of Him with utmost respect.
When I am in corporate worship like in a church I come humbly, believing that time in worship is like being at the gates of heaven. The worship and praise music, the prayer, the offering, the sermon are ways God speaks to me. It is kind of a preparation for life with God for eternity.
After experiencing Church and Sabbath my week is about horouring God with my life. I reverence the name of God in my employment, where I visit, and am purposeful to desire others to honour His name in my presence. I also take the Scripture as God’s words to humanity. They are sacred and never to be used carelessly.
Father In heaven help me to sense your presence in every aspect of my life, especially when I pray. May I show reverence for who you are. May I live as you command, as you showed me in Micah 6:8, “He has shown me what is good and what your require of me, the do justly, to love mercy and to walk in humility every day of my life.
